Two nights ago I put Cameron back down to sleep in his crib after the middle of the night feeding. His head was on the left side of the crib (I know this because of the direction I was facing in the chair when feeding him.).
Well, when I went to get him in the morning, his head was on the right: a complete 180 degree rotation from where I left him. Odd, I thought. Maybe Chris came down in the early morning hours, picked him up, and put him back down the other way? And I slept through all of it? Or maybe, just maybe, he moved himself???
I asked Chris about it in the morning, and he said no, he hadn't come down. And he said that I must be mistaken, there was no way that Cam spun himself 180 degrees. He was totally convinced that I had forgotten which way I laid him down.
But then last night, Chris went to put the pacifier back in Cam's mouth, and Cam was rotated 90 degrees. Now, we never lay him down in that direction (along the width of the crib instead of the length, so his head and feet are both touching the bumpers). Chris realized that I must have been right. Ha! I knew I wasn't crazy.
And eeek...this sounds like the beginnings of mobility!
